About Kenisha Nichelle

Kenisha Nichelle's Mission

Kenisha Nichelle is a passionate advocate for mental wellness, drawing from her personal journey of triumph over tragedy. Her mission is to guide others towards inner strength and resilience, offering a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise.

Southern Girl, Happy Life

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Kenisha was born to a loving family; an only child to Anita and Kenneth Brown.

She enjoyed attending and watching games with her dad and also loved accompanying her grandparents to many church functions, especially basketball tournaments.

It is these experiences that brought out and cultivated her love for two things: sports and people.

Enter Pain and Grief

Life as Kenisha knew it took an unexpected turn at age 12 after her father, Kenneth, suddenly passed away. This was the first time Kenisha was met with intense grief and struggled to process life without her father.

Family stepped in, and Kenisha was first introduced to children's counseling and the tool of color therapy as a means to process her grief. College came knocking and Kenisha enrolled at the University of Kentucky, studying to become an athletic trainer.

At the same time, Kenisha’s mother, Anita, had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After a valiant three-year battle, Kenisha’s mother went to be with the Lord in 2007. Instantly, Kenisha became an adult orphan and faced navigating life without a guide.

A New Path

Understanding the importance of a good support system, Kenisha transferred schools to be closer to family and switched her major to Sport Administration, which then led to an internship opportunity that would be the start of her career in sports.

The internship proved to be the blessing she'd been hoping and praying for,  landing her opportunities with multiple sports organizations including the Orange Bowl Committee, Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and an Athletic Director role.

In spite of the great loss she has experienced, Kenisha has been gifted by God with a unique skill set to organize mega-event operations for BCS National Championship, Super Bowl Committee, and Orange Blossom Classic.
